Where would I place?
Finish time percentile for 8-run, 8-station hybrid races.
The typical finish is about 1:27 for Men Open and 1:35 for Women Open. Half of finishers are slower than that; under 1:18 (men) or 1:25 (women) puts you in the top 25%, and under 1:11 or 1:18 in the top 10%. Enter your time below to see exactly how many finishers you beat.

How it works
- For each singles division we hold nine finish-time percentiles (1%, 5%, 10%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 90%, 95%, 99%) and a count of finishers. Nothing about any one athlete.
- Your time is placed between the two nearest percentiles (straight-line in between, with smooth tails past the 1% and 99% marks), giving the share of finishers slower than you.
- The mountain is the shape of those finish times: tall where most people finish, thin at the fast and slow ends.
- Doubles, or if the data cannot be loaded: an estimated distribution from our published model, run at a hand-set spread of abilities. The page tells you when it is an estimate.
Want a target instead? The finish time predictor estimates your finish from your 5 km, and the pace calculator turns a target into splits.

Questions
What is a good finish time for an 8-run, 8-station race?
The typical (median) finish is about 1:27 for Men Open and 1:35 for Women Open. Under 1:18 (men) or 1:25 (women) puts you in the top quarter, and under 1:11 or 1:18 in the top 10%. Pro weights make every station heavier, so Pro times sit higher for the same fitness.
What does "faster than 60% of finishers" mean?
It is the share of finishers in your division whose finish time was slower than yours. Faster than 60% means you would sit in the top 40%. It counts finishers only, so people who did not finish are left out.
Where does the data come from?
Singles Open and Pro use aggregated percentiles of race finishers: a count and nine finish-time percentiles per division, with no individual results, names or events. Doubles, and any time the data cannot be loaded, use an estimated distribution from the same published model as the finish time predictor, and the page says so.
How much faster do I need to be to reach the top 25%?
Enter your time above: the result shows the next band you can reach and how much time it takes. For Men Open the top 25% starts at about 1:18 and the top 10% at about 1:11.
Does a gym sim time compare with a race time?
Roughly. A gym sim usually has much shorter transitions than a big exhibition-hall race, so the same athlete is often a few minutes quicker in a sim. Treat a sim time as slightly flattering when you compare it here.
Test it on a real course
A sim at a gym near you runs the full 8 runs and 8 stations with every split timed, so you get your real numbers instead of an estimate. A free account keeps every result and shows where your time goes.
