How it works

  • Your time is compared with finishers who finish in about the same overall time as you (or as the typical finisher in your division if you leave the finish blank), not the whole field.
  • For each station we hold five percentiles of those finishers (10%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 90%) and a count. Your time is placed between them, with smooth tails past the ends, giving the share of finishers slower than you.
  • Typical is the median; top 25% and top 10% are the times those finishers beat.
  • Station times are the work itself; the transitions in and out are not included.
  • Doubles, or if the data cannot be loaded: an estimated spread from our published model, clearly labelled.

Questions

What is a good time for each station?

It depends on your overall finish. For Men Open finishers around 1:30:00 the typical times are skierg 4:36, sled push 3:07, sled pull 5:10, burpee broad jumps 5:56, row 4:56, farmers carry 2:14, sandbag lunges 5:34, wall balls 7:21. Each station page has a table from 1:00:00 to 2:00:00.

Why compare with finishers around my finish time?

Everyone at the front is fast everywhere, so comparing a station with the whole field mostly tells you how fit you are overall. Comparing with people who finish in about the same time shows which stations are strengths and which cost you time relative to your level.

Where do the benchmark times come from?

Singles Open and Pro use aggregated percentiles (10%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 90%) of finishers around each finish time, with no individual results. Doubles, and any time the data cannot be loaded, use an estimated spread from our published model, and the page says so.

What if I do not know my overall finish?

Leave it blank: the checker uses the typical (median) finish for your division. If you have a target, enter that instead to see what the station should cost at that level.
