HYROX Wall Balls Records — Fastest Station Times

Wall Balls are the eighth and final workout station in HYROX. Athletes must complete 100 wall ball shots (75 for women) — squatting below parallel and throwing a medicine ball to a target on the wall. Men use a 9kg ball (Pro) or 6kg (Open), while women use a 6kg ball (Pro) or 4kg (Open). As the last station before the finish line, wall balls are a pure test of willpower and muscular endurance.

Elite wall ball times range from 3:00–4:30 for top men and 3:30–5:00 for top women. Maintaining a steady rhythm of 15–20 reps per minute is critical. Athletes who attempt large unbroken sets early often hit a wall (literally) and end up with slower overall times than those who pace with planned micro-breaks.

The wall balls station is where HYROX races are often decided. After seven preceding stations and runs, even elite athletes are severely fatigued. The fastest wall ball times on this leaderboard represent extraordinary muscular endurance and mental toughness at the sharp end of a gruelling race.

Consider that many of the fastest single-station times are often achieved at the expense of the overall race time. The true elite racers — those finishing in the top 5 overall at Elite 15 events — typically hit the Wall Balls in around 3:52 (men) and 3:32 (women).
